A New E-book Reader

Amazon is introducing a new electronic reader called "Kindle DX", which has a screen twice as big as the previous model. It has a complete keyboard and memory enough to store 3,500 e-books, besides the 3G download feature, available only in the US. The suggested price is US$489.

I love downloading E-books, and this technology will make it easier. So I´m eagerly waiting to get it in Brazil!

Whaat. that's so awsome. I definitively love it, it will be so cool to have something with this tecnology. We could use it in the school, an Cultura too. Would be really good if we already have it.

  4. That's great!!! I like E-books but having to read them on the PC kind of bores me...
I prefer audio books. Ever tried them?

  5. We don´t really think it´s such a brilliant idea...Some people get headaches when reading on a screen, we can´t take it to the beach (might get sand in it or might get stolen!) and it´s NOT a real book after all, is it?

  15. That is the kind of trend that worries me loads! Althought I'm super into technology, I love having my books in my hands, feeling the material they are made of... Is there anything more tempting in this world than getting into a bookshop, having a hot cup of coffee while reading blurbs until deciding which *books* we are taking home?
Tell me about it! I can be pretty much traditional when it comes to books:)

  16. I don't think this is very usefull.I think this will never substitute a good book. And i think that Kindle Libray's isn't as bigger as a book shop.

  18. Well, I really like leafing through books. They have different textures that a computer screen will never attain. I'd rather read real books, I guess. However, we can't ignore the fact that manufacturers will make e-books seem attractive (and absolutely necessary) to the eyes of consumers.

  19. I think Kindle DX is very useful, because it enables us to read anywhere. Even more because it has the ideal size for reading documents such as newspaper. But I think it's very expensive and a bit too long. Anyway, if I could, I would buy it. :D

  21. This is incredible!I love this article! This is a new generation of books and maybe teenagers will be interesting about it.The Kindle DX can get the youngest people more closer of the books world, but for me,normal books are better.

  22. It's nice but, if you take it to the street, it can brake easily.
Reading the e-book isn't as comfortable as reading a real book.
So, I prefer book made of paper.

  25. I think this Kindle DX is too big to carry up werever you want, in spite of being very cool and modern. However, I prefer to read an old and tradicional book.

  26. I think that the e-books aren't necessary because they are very expensive and we can read in books.

  27. I think, for me it's not necessary, because I can have books.
However, the E-book is much more pratical than the usual books, because it brings a lot of information togeter.
Unfortunaly, it's not accesible to everybody, because of the expensive cost.

  31. I feel nice, but the E-book is dependent on battery charge, what makes hinders their acess to travel to places without ligh, for example. I don't think the book should be replaced by technology, but on the other side is great because you can download 3500 different books!
